Altlausee - Bad Aussee

L
K

45 km and approx. 45 minutes by car

  • The magic of Altaussee is already in the name of the village. Everything here has tradition
The world of the miners in the salt mine exists today as it did hundreds of years ago. The fishermen catch their char from the crystal-clear lake, just as their ancestors did. And the guests love their Altaussee just like the first foreigners who came to the village well over a hundred years ago and realised that they were not foreigners here at all, but rather safe and at the destination of their dreams. Altaussee has always enticed creative people – painters, writers, musicians – to stay and come back. Those who follow their example are well advised to do so. The landscape surrounds its guests with lime-bright peaks, mountain forests and flower meadows or as white expanses, heavy with snow, and lays a clear blue lake at their feet, sometimes inviting them to swim, in winter steaming in the cold or covered with bare ice, and always presents the eyes with new images.

  • The daffodil festival in Ausseerland – Salzkammergut
The wild daffodils adorn the flower meadows of the Ausseerland-Salzkammergut region in spring. They transform the idyllic mountain and lake landscape between the Dachstein, Loser and the Totes Gebirge into a sea of fragrant flowers. Yellow, white, green – as far as the eye can see.
In Ausseerland – Salzkammergut, the white star-flowered daffodil, also known as the poet’s daffodil, blooms from mid-May to mid-June, depending on the altitude. Every year around this time, the daffodil festival, Austria’s largest flower festival, takes place
on 29 May to 2 June 2013 for the 54th time.
The Daffodil Festival combines tradition with nature and hospitality. A colourful programme of events entertains guests and locals alike. The highlight and finale of the festival is the car parade in Bad Aussee and the boat parade on Lake Grundlsee on Sunday. Many fragrant, imaginative and hand-placed daffodil figures can be marvelled at.
  • Loser Panorama Road Altaussee
After 9 km of panoramic road, you reach the ideal starting point at 1,600 metres above sea level for numerous climbing tours and hikes into the heart of the Totes Gebirge.
After a short walk, the crystal-clear Altausee lake invites you to take a tour and is also the starting point of the informative Loser Geotrail. Climbing enthusiasts can ascend the Loser summit via the ‘Sisi’ via ferrata with its sensational views. The Loser Alm at the end of the panoramic road invites you to take a cosy break on the large sun terrace, while hang-gliders and paragliders circle through the air against the breathtaking backdrop. Here, nothing stands in the way of savouring local delicacies combined with a unique panoramic view of the Niedere Tauern and gleaming Dachstein glaciers all the way to the Großvenediger!

Hellbrunn Palace and trick fountains

Untersberg (highest peak 1972 m)

The Untersberg is located southwest of Salzburg and offers a variety of hiking trails, a year-round cable car with a ski run, a circular cycle path, challenging climbing tours, gorges, enchanting ice caves and cosy huts in the summit area. It is also undoubtedly one of the most striking legendary landscapes in Austria and southern Germany. However, the main attraction of this mountain is its enchanting natural landscape.

Kapuzinerberg

  • The Kapuzinerberg, at 636 metres the highest mountain in the city, represents the northern end of the Limestone Alps in the city area. The mountain, formerly known as ‘Imberg’, on the right bank of the Salzach, has a long history: as early as the Late Stone Age, there were residential sites on the eastern slope towards the district of Gnigl, and from the period 1000 BC we know of two residential sites above the Capuchin monastery. A settlement site is also assumed for the La Tène period.

Mönchsberg

  • The Mönchberg is also located in the urban area, on the left bank of the Salzach. It is home to the fortress and the Museum of Modern Art. Both can be reached either on foot or by taking the fortress railway or the Mönchsberg lift.

Gaisberg (1288 m)

Gut Aiderbichl

L
K

It was built in 2000 and is privately owned by Michael Aufhauser, who has been breaking new ground in animal welfare since 1989. The farm is a symbol for the protection and dignity of animals.
Dogs, horses, goats, cows… without exception, all the animals have been rescued from hopeless living conditions. And each of its inhabitants has their own personal story to tell.

The enthusiastic support of prominent people, who also took on animal sponsorships, quickly helped the estate to gain enormous popularity. Journalists and other media representatives also report enthusiastically on their experiences at Gut Aiderbichl.

However, Michael Aufhauser is not only committed to animals, but also to people who are in need of help and have been forgotten by the world. The hospice movement in particular receives active support. Projects for children, adults seeking values and marginalised groups have already helped countless people to find a meaningful direction worth living in.

    Salzwelten Bad Dürnberg und Keltendorf

    L
    K

One of the oldest show mines in the world is located just outside the city of Salzburg. From the Celts to the archbishops, salt from the Dürrnberg brought wealth and prosperity to Salzburg. The salt, an inconspicuous yet generous gift of nature, has been hidden deep in the heart of the mountain for millions of years.

This unique journey into the depths of the salt mines begins with a traditional miner’s costume. Dressed all in white, you take a small train into the tunnels of the salt mine. Smoothly polished slides take you from one floor to the next into the heart of the mountain. Your miner will always be with you to give you a vivid introduction to the underground world. You glide across the famous salt lake on a raft surrounded by a mystical cloud of sound. Films and displays complement your miner’s explanations in a wonderful way.

Next door is the ‘Celtic Village’, a prehistoric open-air museum. In the reconstructed settlement, you can still experience how this mysterious people lived and worked 2,500 years ago.

Valuable burial artefacts bear witness to the unique craftsmanship and extensive trade relations of these early inhabitants of the Dürrnberg high above Hallein. The large burial mound in the Celtic village is a reconstruction of a princely tomb found on the Dürrnberg, the accessible burial chamber shows the prince lying on his chariot with weapons and rich grave furnishings.

Hohenwerfen Castle towers over the Salzach Valley as a strategic bulwark on a striking 155 metre high rocky cone approx. 40 km south of the city of Salzburg. The castle is majestically surrounded by the mighty mountain ranges of the Tennengebirge and Hagengebirge. The castle complex is a ‘sister castle’ to Hohensalzburg Fortress and also dates back to the 11th century. It has been remodelled and extended several times over the centuries. In 1938, the castle became the property of the Salzburg district and was used as a training centre by the Austrian Federal Gendarmerie until 1987.

Hohenwerfen was used as a prison for centuries. Rulers such as Archbishop Adalbert III (1198), Count Albert von Friesach (1253), the Styrian governor Siegmund (1525) and Archbishop Wolf Dietrich von Raitenau (1611) were also imprisoned in this complex.

Today, the castle presents itself as a real ‘adventure castle’ with numerous events such as concerts, theatre and traditional evenings, as well as castle festivals.
A special attraction is the historic provincial falconry centre with daily flight demonstrations of various birds of prey.

Discover our unique sauna barrel right by the lake. Whether after a long day or just to relax – the combination of cosy warmth and the view of Lake
            Wolfgangsee is unrivalled.

Enjoy your pure drinking water with us at Arndt’s Bootshaus

Nowadays, tap water is unfortunately saturated with thousands of substances and can therefore no longer fulfil its detoxification function sufficiently. Even if we drink enough water, our cells often suffer from a lack of pure water.
This is comparable to a bus. If all the seats are already taken, then no one can be taken along.
It therefore makes a difference to our body and our health which water we drink.

Pure water – a source of health and well-being

            Pure, healthy water is

            • purified, i.e. largely free of foreign and harmful substances.
            • energised, i.e. it vitalises the body and supplies it with energy.
            • structured, i.e. the water has a natural order that our body and cells recognise.
            • informed, i.e. the water carries its original life-enhancing information.
            • cell-available, i.e. the water can be immediately absorbed by the cell without additional effort.

Here – at Arndt’s Bootshaus – you are served the purest water from drinking water specialist Bela Aqua with your coffee.

It is 99% free from foreign and harmful substances such as nitrate, medicines, hormones and chemicals.
Also available on its own as a refreshing drink. Just ask for it!

            Kiwa Aqua water vitalisation

As a special service for our guests – for a relaxing holiday – we have had a KIWA AQUA water vitalisation system installed, all flats are free of earth radiation or alternating fields.

Each of us needs about 70000 litres of drinking water in the course of our lives. As our organism consists of 70 to 75% water, water is important for our health! With Kiwa Aqua, the water is almost restored to its natural vibration by applying oxygen information that corresponds to a vibration of 650 GHZ.

Water has a very good memory and is an excellent conductor of information. Even if the water is purified by filters, the information of the pollutants is still contained in the memory of the water and thus influences our body (asbestos microfibres, pollutants, hormones, drug residues, etc.).

With Kiwa Aqua, the negative information is superimposed and no longer perceived by the body! They are excreted without being deposited anywhere. The treatment (washing) with activated water is of great benefit for food, as the vitamins and minerals are preserved and activated.

For a stress-free holiday for our guests!

All of our flats are de-stressed by a GEO CHIP.

Artificial alternating fields such as: Computers, electrical lines, but also water veins, earth rays, Hartmann grids, Curry grids, etc, clearly have a negative effect on our bio- and nervous system. The chip in every flat overlays these interference fields and their harmful effects on our organism with harmonious universal vibrational energy.

The stress level is reduced or completely eliminated. The heart rhythm is stabilised, sleep patterns are improved, concentration is reactivated, weakening and damaging information from electromagnetic radiation is superimposed and no longer burdens the human organism.
